Feb 27 (Tue) – Update

This update includes yesterday which for some reason didn’t go to print.

update-pinned-to-wire.png Feb 26 (Mon) I did chores. I went out and got groceries. The dogs walked me through Vander Veer. I returned from the park to a late lunch and had just enough time to get cleaned up before pushing to the cardiologist.

.

An EKG took seconds, unremarkable results. I was with the Dr for a few minutes. I’m stable. See her in a year, they’ll do an echo before we meet so we’ll have that in hand.

.

Kim and I watched Meet Joe Black. We agreed it was okay, but a long runner. Anthony Hopkins was great as usual.

.

update-post-it.png Feb 27 (Tue) Today was a slow start for me. Sluggish, very sluggish. I arrived at the coffee shop in my own due time. Five of us all in. Three of us ended up staying until just before noon, deep discussion about how city management (doesn’t matter which of the QC) really needs to get a grip.

.

I got home and ate an early lunch. Then some fiddling around with this and that until it was time for Vander Veer. A slow walk, seemed the park contained people that didn’t want to have anything to do with anyone. Except for a Chinese lady. She knew her dogs, watches all the dog shows, knew which dog won which show, etc. etc. a real chatterbox. She stood there at the Conservatory end of the Grand Allee, her petting Willow, me listening, Lyds and Mavis on the lookout for other dogs and squirrels.

.

Yesterday broke every record. Mid 70s. It’s still winter, Never has it been this warm. Warmest day in any February, warmest winter day ever. Incredible.

.

It quickly turned overcast and is lightly raining. Someone called the fire dept, asked them get a pumper out to the house across the alley and put out the fire in their back yard. Don’t know what they were burning but it was nasty. They know better, I hope they had to pay for the visit.

.

Early to bed tonight. Tomorrow will eventually warm up, I need to put some time into outdoor stuff. Collect dead leaves, clean out bird houses, pull out the trikes and look ‘em over. March is supposed to be unseasonably warm. It’s very dry around here, we need precip. That’s all for now. Cheers.
