Dec 27 – Update
How about an update?
It’s only been a few days since my last update but there’s been some noteworthy stuff happen that’s worth noting.
.
Kyle caught covid, not a cold. His fever broke after one day and he feels not too bad, he says. Sami caught it too so she is at home sheltering in place. It’s been a lot quieter around here with only three doggos instead of six.
.
I think the car’s AC problem is solved without spending a penny. Yesterday I had been driving the car for about 15 minutes to coffee with just two blocks left to go. Waiting at a stop light I thought I just barely heard the AC compressor click on. Wait what?
.
.
Long story short I discovered that I can turn the yellow light on and off by moving the fan speed knob ever so slightly in just the right way. Driving over a bump or two on the way to coffee must have been enough to make it work.
.
.
So. My options are to live with the poorly designed control and pay attention to the light, or replace the controller. They’re easy to find, between $40 and $100 all in to the front porch.
.
So instead of dealing with the AC today I’m gonna spend some time in the basement. The priority is to make the large-bed laser engraver more… how do I say this… more secure. Stay tuned.
.
Oh. One last thing. In case you hadn’t thought about it, the last day of this year can be express as 123123. Think about it. Cheers.
