Woodwork Shop - Update

I continue to make progress.

23-12-02-table-saw-complete.jpgI finished assembling the table saw. It was a challenge.

.

.

23-12-02-table-saw-complete-2.jpgThe one horse motor on that rig is not the original motor so it took me oh, about an hour to get it dialed in. The motor slides left to right on a rail behind the table saw as the operator uses the front control wheel to tilt the blade for bevel cuts. Real close tolerances all around to get the motor to where it doesn’t hit anything.

.

Oh. I put brand new casters on that table saw so it rolls around the uneven basement floor like it’s sliding around on warm budda.

.

I also took the time for a quick tear down, clean-up, and assembly of the white 12-inch band saw you see on the bench behind the table saw and to the right of the Delta dust collector. That thing is 23 years old, all metal, variable speed, and has a squeaky bearing and could use a new belt but it’s usable. Does a fine job of cuttin’ wood if you keep your hands steady.

.

Next on my plate is to select a tool from the pile in the corner and get that rollin’ around and workin’ (if I can).
